Lewis "Al" Albert Belangia, Jr., 54, of Early Station Road, died Tuesday, January 28, 2020 at his home. He was born in Bertie County December 27, 1965 to the late Lewis Albert and Shirley Bazemore Belangia. Al was member of Askewville Assembly of God and retired from the Bertie County School system. He was a member of the Roanoke-Chowan Wildlife Club and loved to hunt and fish. He lived many years at the beach in his early life.

Funeral services will be held Friday, January 31, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Askewville Assembly of God. Rev. R. O. Denton, Jr. and Rev. Ralph Rawls will officiate.

His survivors include his two daughters, Maggie Belangia and fiancé Martynez White of Windsor, and Haley Belangia and fiancé Cory Jernigan of Greenville; sister, Crystal Lee and husband Brian of Colerain; brother, Calvin Belangia and wife Lisa of Harrellsville; grandchild, Braylen White; nieces, Brittany, Madison, Gabby, Peyton and Avery Lee; special friends, David Lee, Steve Friedman and Jimmy Liverman; 2 great nephews.

The family will receive friends Thursday, January 30 ^th from 6-7:30 PM at Walker Funeral Home and from the home of his sister, Crystal Lee, 106 West River Street, Colerain, NC 27924. Memorial gifts may be made to the Autism Society of NC, 2045 Eastgate Dr., Suite C, Greenville, NC 27858.
