Larry Thomas Norris, age 77, passed away peacefully at the Service League of Greenville Inpatient Hospice on Tuesday, April 23, 2024.  Larry was born in Dunn, NC on September 25, 1946 to the late Floyd and Margaret Norris.

He actively served with the US Army during the Vietnam War from 1966 until his honorable discharge in 1968. Throughout his life, he served his community in various roles such as volunteer EMT and member of the Windsor/Bertie Chamber of Commerce. Many in the community knew him from his decades long career as a local banker. His passions in life included spending time with family/friends, fishing, and lending a helping hand to those in need. He was a loving Father and Grandfather, who will be dearly missed by all that knew him.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Norris was preceded in death by his wife, Ronda Nester Norris; daughter, Sara Robin Norris and sister, Pam Brulet. He is survived by his son Frank Norris, daughter-in-law Lisa C. Norris, granddaughters Mila and Runa Norris and sisters, Judy McCurdy, Jane King, and Wendy Turnage.

A graveside memorial service will be held Sunday, May 5, 2024 at 2:00 pm at Edgewood Cemetery in Windsor, NC. The visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 PM Sunday, May 5th at Walker Funeral Home in Windsor.
