Kathryn "Kathy" Hoggard Fields, 70, of North King Street, passed away Tuesday August 8, 2023, at ECU Medical Center.  She was born in Hertford County, November 11, 1952, to the late Herman and Mamie Ruth White Hoggard  and was predeceased by a brother, Larry Hoggard.  Kathy, a homemaker, was an active member of Hickory Chapel Free Will Baptist Church in Ahoskie.

A private graveside funeral service will be held Tuesday August 15, 2023, at 11:00 AM in Edgewood Cemetery. Rev. Jim Skipper will officiate.

Survivors include her husband, Michael Alex Fields, Sr. of the home; daughter, Kaitlin Kivett Fields of Va. Beach; son, Michael Alex Fields, Jr of Va. Beach; sisters, Geraldine Harrell, Tammy Murwin, both of Windsor, Jo Ann Hoggard of Myrtle Beach, SC. and Donna Diaz and husband Juan of Dover, Delaware; brothers, Billy Murwin of Snug Harbor, NC. and Clayton David Murwin and wife Collette of Jacksonville, Florida; grandson Keizer Michael Wojtasiak of Va. Beach; sister-in-law, Phyllis Hoggard of Ahoskie; many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Monday, August 14th at Walker Funeral Home from 6-7:30 PM.  Memorial gifts in Kathy's memory can be made to your church of worship.
