Karla Capps Caesar, born January 25th, 1961, unfortunately died January 4th, 2026.

She is survived by her daughters: Kristina and Kaitlin Caesar, as well as her mother Mary Jane Capps and brother Kenneth Capps. Born in Washington, DC and raised in New Carrollton, Maryland.

She married and raised her daughters in Richmond, Virginia and then spent her final years with her mother Jane on the Tar River in Washington, North Carolina. She was the middle child and only daughter of Mary Jane Capps and Charles Keithley Capps. Her elder brother Ken resides in Mechanicsville, MD and she was preceded in death by her younger brother, Charles Barry Capps, of Kill Devil Hills, North Carolina.

She studied at St. Mary's College but spent most of her life as a dedicated and invested stay at home mother. She was a lover of bears, bubbles, sunflowers, soaps and country music. She died peacefully in her sleep and is finally at rest.

Her family has chosen to have a private Celebration of Life, as Karla woke up everyday with the intention of treating the day like it was a reason to smile.
