Judy McCombs Garrett, 70, of Jamesville, NC, passed away Monday, April 8, 2024 at Reston Hospital Center in Virginia. She was born February 22, 1954, in Plymouth NC, to the late Edmund and Patsy G. McCombs. Judy is survived by her brother Clay McCombs, wife Jonie, and preceded by her brother Eddie McCombs. She attended Jamesville High School, was a member of Jamesville First Baptist Church, and active in the community.

She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Donald Garrett, daughter, Kassie Garrett Barber and her husband Brandon of Jamesville, son, Chris Garrett and his wife Amy of Washington and grandchildren Dylan Wilson, Abigail Wilson, Isaiah Wilson, and Dorothy Wheeler. She loved all her family dearly and was the proud bonus mom to many. Her home and heart was always open to everyone.

Judy lived life to the fullest and always had a story to tell. For many years, she enjoyed being a special education teacher assistant at several different schools in Martin County but retirement was her favorite job. Spending time with family and friends was her favorite pastime. If there was an occasion to celebrate, she was ready and willing to host it or bake something delicious. She loved spending her summers at Camp Hatteras and was always ready to take a trip.

The family will receive friends and loved ones Friday, April 12th from 7:00 until 8:30 pm at Walker Funeral Home in Williamston NC and at the home at other times.

Graveside funeral services will be held Saturday, April 13, 2024, at 11:00 am at the Jamesville Cemetery.
