Judy Kay Carper Buchan, age 71, of W. Pine Street passed away Sunday February 22, 2026, at her home.

Judy was born on April 9, 1954, in Fort Knox, Kentucky to Frances Stump Carper and Frank Carper. Judy worked as a caregiver to the elderly and Rose's. She loved gardening, animals and going to church but really loved working with the elderly.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents, one son Anthony Marshall, one sister Patty Carper, and brother Jimmy Carper. She is survived by her daughter Melissa Bond of Williamston, her son Shawn Marshall of North Virginia, and sister Frances Barbrey of New Port News, Virginia.
