Joy Ann Johnson, 65, of Askewville Road, passed away surrounded by her family on Monday December 5, 2022, at Inpatient Hospice of Greenville.  She was born in Bertie County, August 21, 1957, to the late Thurman and Mildred Farmer Johnson. Joy was a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for 24 years. She loved her family and vegetable gardening as well as her work.

Funeral services will be held, Friday, December 9, 2022 at the Walker Funeral Chapel, Windsor, at 11:00 AM.  Rev. Jay Fulford and Dr. Bob Stilley will officiate. Burial will follow in Edgewood Cemetery.

Survivors include her brother, Roy Johnson, and his wife Laverne of Askewville, several nieces and nephews: RT and Ali Johnson, Mady, Barron, Dilly Wiechel, Hank Johnson, Kevin and Brittany Johnson, Noah, Emma, Eric and Hunter Johnson; best friend and caregiver, Bobbie Lynn White.
