Joseph Nickerson White, 68 of Roberson Chapel Rd., died Monday, November 8, 2021, at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville.

Joe was born on May 14, 1953, in Bertie County to the late Lewis Abner and Effie Mae Holiday White. He worked 20 years with Corey's as a HVAC technician and retired after 25 years of service with Martin County Schools maintenance. Joe was a member of the Williamston First Pentecostal Holiness Church and attended Roberson Chapel Church and Bethany Pentecostal Holiness Church. Joe loved his family and loved to fish. He loved to play music on his guitar, playing board games and going out to eat with the girls. Joe loved his dogs, Rudy, Jack, and Jami, and loved animals, feeding many every day. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Beth Speller White, brother, Lewis Scott White, and sister-in-law Joanie White.

Survivors include his wife, Diane Council White of the home; son, Jody White, and wife Hollis of Clinton; brother, Wayne White, and wife Becky of Williamston; sister, Cynthia Gurganus and husband, Danny of Edenton; grandchildren, Caiden and Maddox White, Taylor Woolard (Ashley), Cole, and Landon Woolard.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 12, 2021, at 2:00 PM at Bethany Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Chris Watkins and Rev. Danny Gurganus officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Friday from 12:30 PM until 2:00 PM at the church and other times from the home. Memorial contributions may be made to Roberson Chapel Church, 1930 Roberson Chapel Rd. Williamston, NC 27892.
