Rev. Joseph Lee Lassiter, 84, a resident of Windsor House, died Monday October 15, 2018 at Vidant Medical Hospital in Greenville. He was born in Bertie County, February 11, 1934 to the late Joseph Linwood and Lettie Odel Hoggard Lassiter and was predeceased by his wife, Ruth Phelps Lassiter; sister, Virgie Hill and brother, Ferebee Lassiter.  Rev. Lassiter was a member of Windsor Assembly of God.  He was a retired minister and school teacher.

Funeral services will be held Thursday October 18, 2018 at 3:00 PM at the Windsor Assembly of God. Rev. Chuck Gray will officiate.  Burial will follow in Edgewood Cemetery.

Survivors include his sons, Lyndal and Alex Lassiter both of Charlotte, NC; sister, Rena Lassiter Mizelle of Colerain.

The family will receive friend Wednesday October 17, 2018 at Walker Funeral Home from 6-7:30 PM. Memorial gifts may be made to Windsor Assembly of God, 1505 South King Street, Windsor, NC 27983.
