Joseph Leon Lassiter, 74, originally of Harrellsville died Monday, November 24, 2025, at The Carrolton of Williamston after an extended stay. Joseph was born in Bertie County on June 6, 1951, to the late Robert Earl Lassiter, Sr. and Jessie Leigh Bazemore Lassiter.  Mr. Lassiter was a machinist and worked for H.E. Bunch Pattern Works, Inc. of Lewiston-Woodville most of his career. Joseph was a member of the former Lewiston First Baptist Church, he was a loving a father and friend, and some of his hobbies included fishing, listening to music which eventually turned into singing music, and cooking…lots of cooking.

Joseph was preceded in death by his parents; and four brothers, Robert Earl Lassiter, Jr., Albert Lassiter, Doug Lassiter, and Richard Lassiter.

Joseph is survived by a son, Shaun Lassiter (Brandi) of Windsor; daughter, Brandi Denigris (Charles) of Jarvisburg; grandchildren, Matt, Heather, Mason, Savannah, Joseph, and Jacob; and special friend, Sue Winborne.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
