Joseph Saunders Gurganus 93, of Cary NC died Friday March 8, 2019 at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh.

Mr. Gurganus was born in Martin County on November 26, 1925 to the late Robert Daniel Gurganus and Emma Mae Wynne Gurganus.  He was a manager with Piedmont Airlines. He was a US Marine Veteran.  He was preceded in death by brothers, Leslie, Arthur, Robert and Jesse Gurganus; sisters, Lucille Barnhill, Mattie Wynne, Nettie Mae Alston and Janie Roberson.

Survivors include many nieces and nephews.

A graveside memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Woodlawn Cemetery.
