Joseph Maurice Davis 78, of 130 Circle Drive, died Friday October 19, 2018 at his home.  He was born in Edgecombe County November 20, 1939 to the late Joseph Milton and Frances Leybuone Davis and was predeceased by his first wife, Maggie Ruth Rogers and his second wife, Gloria Jean Brownfield; son, Thomas Carlton Davis.  Maurice was a machinist with United Machine Shop in Stokes as well as an avid fisherman.

Memorial services will be held Monday October 22, 2018 at 2:00 PM at the Bethel Cemetery in Bethel, NC. Don Glendenning will officiate.
The family will receive friends following the service and at other times from the home.

Survivors include his daughter-in-law, Evelyn Davis Czubai; loved as daughters, Gwen Cherry, Robin Taylor and Betty Kirkpatrick (Keith); brother, Mitchell Davis; grandsons, Brandon Davis (fiancée Kerry) Joshua Davis (Samantha); loved as granddaughters, Nicole Kirkpatrick and Bailee Cherry; lifelong friend, Eugene Roberson.
