Dateline: Hertford, NC

Joey Edgar Conner, age 63 passed away on December 31, 2020 at his home in Herford, NC.  He was born in Bertie County to the late McKinley Conner, Jr.  and Lucy White Conner on November 22, 1957.  Joey was a member of United Outreach Ministries and held several positions over the years serving his Lord including being a deacon. Joey enjoyed the outdoors better than anyone.  You could always find him on the water fishing and/or riding around in his boat.

Joey was a devoted husband to his wife of thirteen years, Jennie Conner, and a loving father to his son Jesse Conner.  He also loved Diana, his daughter-in-law, just like a daughter.  Through this marriage God blessed him with two beautiful grandchildren, Brandon Lonnie and Elizabeth Ann "Lizzie".  He is also survived by a brother, Cola McKinley Conner, and his wife Judy of Windsor and many aunts, nieces, and nephews.

A funeral service will be held Sunday, January 3, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. at United Outreach Ministries in Windsor with Rev. J.R. Thomas officiating.  The burial will follow at Edgewood cemetery.
