Joey Allen Baggett, 66, of West Watson Street, passed away Sunday, May 7, 2023 at ECU Medical Center in Greenville. He was born in Bertie County, July 13,1956, to the late Herman Edward and Ruby Baggett. Joey was predeceased by a brother, Tim Baggett and sisters, Judy Bowers and Connie Baggett. He was a member of Edgewood Baptist Church and Cashie Golf and Country Club. He was an avid golfer and an excellent guitar player. Joey was an environmental manager with Perdue.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, May 11, 2023, at 2:00 PM at the Walker Funeral Chapel. Rev. Chris Lee will officiate. The family will receive friends Thursday, May 11 ^th from 1:00 PM until service time.

Survivors include his wife, Teresa Taylor Baggett of the home; daughter, Kelly Baggett of Windsor; sons, Joe Cowand and wife Nicole of Chesapeake, VA, and Michael Cowand and wife, Alethea of Kings Mountain, NC; sisters, Barbara B. Ferebee, Peggy B. Darden, Kay Baggett; grandchildren, Peyton Johnson, Adam Cowand, Brie Cowand, Luke Cowand, Noah Cowand and Joshua Cowand.
