Joan Marie White Miller 79, of Bull Hill Road passed away on Sunday May 12, 2024 at her home. She was born in Bertie County on November 19, 1944, to the late Obie Dunlow and Helen Twine White and predeceased by her husband, Truett Miller; sisters, Sylvia White Perry, Bernice White Whitley; brothers George Hilary, Reynold Wilson and Wilton Obie White.

Joan was a retired hairdresser and a member of Edgewood Baptist Church and the Cashie Country Club.

A graveside funeral service will be held Wednesday May 15, 2024, at 2:00 PM in Edgewood Cemetery. Josh Morris will officiate.

Survivors include her daughters, Belerie Miller Fischer, and husband Brian of Greenville; Helene Miller O'Neal and husband Neal of Belhaven; grandchildren, Briton and Bella Fischer, Walton, and Miller O'Neal.

The family will receive friends at 120 Bull Hill Road following the service. Memorial gifts may be made to Edgewood Baptist Church, PO Box 733, Windsor, NC 27983.
