Jimmy Wayne Baker, 72 of W. Main Street, died Tuesday November 16, 2021, at his home.

Jimmy was born on May 6, 1949, in Martin County to the late Jimmie and Mamie Marie Hollis Baker. He was a salesman with Wonder Bread.  After 30 years he retired, then he and his wife, Kim became self-employed working as JB and Kim Distribution for Flowers Bread. He loved to hunt, fish and enjoyed grilling out for his family and friends. He was preceded in death by brother, Phillip and sister, Lisa.

Survivors include his wife, Kim Baker of the home; son, Rodney Baker and wife, Sarah Baker of Williamston; daughters, Andrea Clifton of Williamston, and Alison Smith of Williamston; brothers, Milton Baker (Joan) of Williamston and Richard Baker and wife Jeanne of Plymouth; sister, Cynthia Roberson of Robersonville; grandchildren, Austyn Reeves, Summer Reeves, Abrey Reeves, Kamryn Hill, John Smith, Jacob Theriault, Branson Ross, and Lesley Ross.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, November 19, 2021, at 2:00 PM at the Hamilton Cemetery with Ben Cope officiating.

The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home and from the home at other times. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 930-B Wellness Dr, Greenville, NC 27834, or the Martin County Humane Society, 1720 US Hwy 17 Williamston, NC 27892.
