Jesse Tyler White, 93, formerly of White Oak Road, died Friday, January 21, 2022, at the Carrollton of Williamston. He was born in Bertie County, September 10. 1928 to the late Jesse Edgar and Lizzie White and was predeceased by his wife, Joy Byrd White and son, William David White; sisters, Lucy Conner, and Evelyn Williford.  Tyler was a member of Askewville Baptist Church. He drove trucks for over 70 years.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, January 30, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Askewville Baptist Church with Reverend Zach Hicks will officiating. Burial will follow in Edgewood Cemetery.

Survivors include his daughter, Carolyn White Savage, and husband Chuck of Manteo; grandchildren, Justin and Hunter Savage, Amy Phippins, Alisa White, and Kristen White.

The family will receive friends Saturday, January 29, 2022, at Walker Funeral Home from 6-7:30 pm. Memorial gifts may be made to Askewville Baptist Church, 110E. Askewville Street, Windsor, NC 27983.
