Jerry Wayne Sanford, 73, of Hoggard Mill Road, died Sunday, May 10, 2020 at his home surrounded by his family.  He was born in Bertie County August 19, 1946 to Grace Hill Sanford and the late, Harvey Rodman Sanford.  Jerry was a member of Windsor Assembly of God Church where he was the sound tech for 30 plus years.  He drove the overnight double semi-truck for UPS as well as being a horse enthusiast.  Jerry served his country in the National Guard.

A graveside funeral service will be held Thursday, May 14, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Edgewood Cemetery.  Rev. Chuck Gray will officiate.

Survivors include his wife, Sherry Miller Sanford of the home; daughter, Belinda S. Belch and husband Larry of Belhaven; son, Julian Sanford and wife Beth of Clayton; mother, Grace Hill Sanford of Williamston; sister, Alice Sanford Bunch and husband Don of Midlothian, VA; grandchildren, Morgan Sanford, Aaron Belch and Lauren Belch; nephew, Andy Bunch and niece, Susan B. Mottley.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, May 13, 2020 from 7-8:30 PM at Walker Funeral Home  Because of the Virus concern, we ask that all visitors come and leave to keep the attendance below the health threshold.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Windsor Assembly of God Church, 1505 S. King Street, Windsor, NC 27983.
