Jean Hobbs Lupton, 83 of US 64, died Saturday, August 10, 2019 at Vidant Beaufort Hospital.

Mrs. Lupton was born in Nicholas County, WV on March 12, 1936 to the late Harvey Burdette and Irene Casto Hobbs. She was a retired machine operator with TRW and a member of the Lighthouse Assembly of God. She loved taking care of residents at the nursing homes and helping with bingo. She loved fishing, dancing, eating and her poodle "GiGi".

Survivors include; sons, Dennis H. Barber, Jr. of Jamesville and Harvey G. Barber of Oak City and Randy Wayne Barber; daughters, Patricia B. Manning and Shelia B. Coffey both of Williamston; grandchildren 7; great grandchildren 13.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, August 14, 2019 at 11:00 AM at the Barber Family Cemetery with Pastor Ben Bunch officiating.

The family will receive friends Tuesday evening at Walker Funeral Home from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
