Jane Hayes Leggett, 78 of Pollocks Road, died Friday, October 16, 2020 at her home.  She was born in Watauga County August 16, 1942 to the late Robert and Ethel Pitts Hayes and predeceased by a son, Bobby Leggett.  Jane was a bookkeeper with Pittard, Perry and Crone.  She attended Siloam Baptist Church.

A memorial service will be held Friday October 23, 2020 at 2:00 PM in the Walker Funeral Home Chapel.  Rev. Joey Brickhouse will officiate.  A burial in the Pitts family cemetery will be held at a later date in Boone, NC.

She is survived by a daughter, Lynn L. Keel and husband, Cricket of Washington; son, Mark Leggett and wife Jackie of Windsor; brother, Frank Hayes and wife Jan of Boone; grandchildren, Michelle Leggett, Brook Ray, Jobie Thomas, Katie Thomas, Kemper Smith, Lauren White; great grandchildren, Kayleigh and Chase Leggett, Noah and Luke Ray, Kemper and Charlotte Smith and Addison White.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the American Cancer Society, Wellness Drive, Greenville, NC 27835.  The family will receive friends from the home of Mark and Jackie Leggett at 149 Pollocks Road, Windsor, following the service on Friday the 23 ^rd .
