James Wiley "Pete" Edmonds, 81 of Mill Inn Rd., died Wednesday, February 9, 2022, at his home.

Mr. Edmonds was born on July 3, 1940, in Pitt County to the late Robert and Nancy Dail Edmonds. He was retired from the US Army as a First Sergeant and retired from the NC Dept. of Agriculture as a crop adjuster. Mr. Edmonds loved hunting and fishing, baseball and attending horse shows. He was preceded in death by his wife, Deborah Hollis Edmonds; son, Robbie Edmonds; daughters, Jackie Edmonds and Colleen Bembridge; sisters, Deanie Edmondson and Carlene Edmondson.

Survivors include his sons, Connell Bembridge of Williamston, Ronald Bembridge of Angier and Chris Bembridge of Pinetown; brother, Bill Edmonds of Norfolk, VA; sisters, Ann Williams of Williamston, Janie Brown of Franklin, VA and Retha Keck of Wichita Falls, TX; grandchildren, Makayla Leggett and Carly Bembridge.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, Feb. 19, 2022 at 2:00 PM at the Hamilton Cemetery with Military Honors.
