Mr. James "Pee Wee" Roland Harrison age 75, of Robersonville, passed away peacefully Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at ECU Bertie hospital with his loving family by his side.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 PM on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at Community Christian Church of Williamston with Dale Minton officiating and Dr. George Powell assisting. Burial will follow in the Hamilton Cemetery. Kevin Lockamy, John Bullock, Roy Warren, Rodney Warren, Mike Davis, and Phillip Gibson will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
Mr. James "Pee Wee" Roland Harrison Was born on November 8, 1950, in Martin County to Marie Martin Harrison and Roland Harrison. He attended Martin County Schools and later served his country in the US Army. On September 9, 1973, he married the love of his life, the former Barbara Davis, they enjoyed 53 years of marriage. Mr. James farmed, worked as a carpenter and a catfish farmer before retiring with Hudson Brother's Farm as a foreman. He loved fishing, his church, Diet Pepsi, and spending time with his family. He was also known as "Pee Wee" the jokester.
In addition to his parents Mr. James was preceded in death by three brothers: Roland Levi Harrison, Tommy Bernon Harrison, and Colon Ray Harrison; seven sisters: Betty Marie Clark, Jean Carolyn Bass, infant Sue Ann Harrison, Lizzie Faye Warren, Lena Belle Harrison, Janice Carol Gibson, and Patricia Anne Harrison.
Survivors in addition to his wife include: one son James Travis Harris and wife Kayla of Washington; two grandchildren: Jacob James Harrison, and Wesley James Harrison. Also surviving is one sister, Fannie Mae Harrison of Stokes.
