James "Jim" Milton Dilday, Jr., 52 died Friday, August 28, 2020.

Jim was born on October 22, 1967 in Franklin, VA to the late James Milton and Margaret Mizelle Dilday.  He was previously from Windsor, NC and a graduate of Bertie High School. Jim was a heavy crane operator with International Union of Operating Engineers. He was preceded in death by his parents and companion Michelle Hewitt.

Survivors include; sons, Brandon M. Waters (Kayce) of New Bern and Patrick Hewitt of Lewisburg, KY; daughter, Courtney A. Dilday of Greenville, NC; sisters, Anita Dilday White (Allen) of Windsor; niece, Mandy White of Edenton; nephew, Joshua White (Lauren and son Landon) of Colerain; grandchildren, Claire Waters of New Bern; special friends, Stefanie Hines and daughter Kaylee of Paducah, KY and sidekick Buster.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
