James "Mike" Michael Castellow, 65, of US 13 North, died in an automobile accident in Belhaven, October 5, 2021.  He was born in Bertie County, May 21,1956 to the late James Earl and Sadie Hoggard Castellow and predeceased by a brother, Donald Earl Castellow, and his 4-legged children, Sam the dog and Boot the cat.  Mike was with Holland Landscaping for 20 plus years before joining Sadler Landscaping where he was a supervisor for 7 years and a member of Edgewood Baptist Church.  He found great enjoyment in fishing, cooking, and gardening.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 9, 2021, at 2:00 PM at Walker Funeral Chapel with Pastor Allen White officiating.  The family will receive friends from 1-2 o'clock before the service and from the home of Beverly Goodwin, 520 Askewville Road, Windsor at other times.

Survivors include his sisters, Shirley C. White (Brodie) and Beverly C. Goodwin (Sue) all of Windsor, two nieces, two nephews, sixteen great nieces and nephews, two great great nephews and one great great niece.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Bertie County Humane Society, 217 County Farm Road, Windsor,  NC 27983.
