James "Earl" Hoggard, 87, of Old 17 North, passed away April 15, 2022 at his residence surrounded by his wife and family.

Earl was born May 10, 1934 to the late Byra Hoggard Hoggard and James Edward Hoggard. On January 19, 1952 he married Charlie Mae Pierce Hoggard who survives. He was a retired carpenter and attended Windsor Assembly of God. Earl was also an avid deer hunter. He was preceded in death by a sister, Nellie Gray H. Clark and brother, Merle Hoggard.

Survivors include in addition to his wife; daughters, Levern H. White (Glenn) of Colerain, Lenell Harden of Windsor, Freda Hoggard of Windsor, and Bonnie H. Asbell (Darryl) of Windsor; sons, Leon Earl Hoggard (Anna Raye) of Merry Hill, J.C. Hoggard (Becky) of Windsor and Terry Hoggard (Ruth) of Windsor; grandchildren, Pam Taylor (Kevin), Tammy White, Jesse Hoggard (Alyssa), Christie Lawrence (Matt), Rhonda Smith (Daniel), Pamela Nixon (Justin), Karen Hoggard, Stewart Asbell (Courtney), Derrick White, Shannon Myers (Dustin) and Renee Harden; great grandchildren, eleven. and one brother, Spencer Hoggard of Windsor.

Graveside funeral services will be held at Edgewood Cemetery at 2:00 PM, Saturday April 16, 2022, with Pastor Chuck Gray officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the grave and other times at the home.
