James Asa Hardison, of Jamesville, North Carolina, passed away on October 15, 2026, in Jamesville. He was born on April 4, 1984, in Beaufort County, North Carolina.

James will be remembered as a loving son whose greatest joys were often found in the simple and familiar comforts of life. He enjoyed spending time with his father, and he shared a special bond with his bulldog, Smoke. He also loved playing video games and listening to rap music, interests that brought him enjoyment and reflected his spirited personality.

In his working life, James had been employed at Gregory Poole and Food Lion. He attended Lighthouse Assembly of God Church in Jamesville, a place that gave him peace..

He leaves behind a family who will hold his memory close: his mother, Kathleen Marie Serrano of Colorado Springs, Colorado; his father, James Cecil Hardison of Jamesville; his sister Heather Collier and her husband, Rodney, of Littleton, NC; his sister, Salena Marie Hardison of Colorado Springs, Colorado; his aunt, Frances Hardison of Greensboro; his aunt Jennette Griffin and her husband, Jerry, of Hamilton; his aunt Lillian Dunlow and her husband, Jerry, of Windsor; and his aunt Sue Leggett and her husband, Scott, of Jamesville, as well as many cousins. May they find comfort in the love they shared with James and in the memories that remain with them always.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, James and Annie Hardison, and by his Uncle Asa Hardison and Aunt Ruth Hardison.

James will be remembered with affection by those who knew him, and his presence will be deeply missed by his family and friends. Memories may be honored through Jamesville Community Fire and EMS Rescue Squad, 1035 Hayes Drive, Jamesville, NC 27846.
