Hope Brenda Carter Williams, 44 of 3 ^rd Street, died Saturday, September 12, 2020 at Vidant Medical Center.

Hope was born on August 7, 1976 in Martin County to James Saunders Carter, Sr. and the late Brenda Walker Carter. She was a social worker at the Caswell Center in Kinston.

Survivors in addition to her father include her husband, Ray Williams of Ayden; son, Jayden Williams of Ayden; brother, James "Jim" Saunders Carter, Jr. of Stacy.

Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, September 16, 2020 at 2:00 PM at the Walker Funeral Home Chapel with Karen Pruette officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 5171 Glenwood Ave. Suite 101, Raleigh, NC 27612
