Hilda "Faye" Byrum Evans, 59 of N. West Ave., died Saturday, January 25, 2020 at her home.

Faye was born on December 22, 1960 in Bertie County to the late Linwood and Hilda Dale Lassiter Byrum. She was a homemaker and a member of Second Chance Ministries.

Survivors include; husband, Marvin Evans of Hamilton; son, Marvin "Hunter" Evans, Jr. of Hamilton; daughters, Lisa Campbell (Allen) of Oak City and Brenda Mejia (Gabriel) of Hamilton; brother, Linwood Byrum, Jr. of Oak City; aunt, Okie Lee Bennett  of Roxobel (She thought of her as a mother); best friend, Amy Pickle of Hamilton (Bingo Buddy); grandchildren, 5.

The family will receive friends at Walker Funeral Home in Williamston Wednesday evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM and other times from the home.
