Herman Dupree Raynor, 77 of Mill Rd., died Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at his home.

Herman was born on December 7, 1945, in Edgecombe County to the late Herman and Madeline Dixon Raynor. He was a self-employed painting contractor. Herman loved to fish.

Survivors include; son, Pedro Raynor of Rocky Mount; brother, David Raynor of Tarboro; sisters, Orean Tenny of Tarboro, Barbara Modlin of Jamesville, and Pam Gurganus of Williamston.

A graveside funeral service will be held on Friday, October 6, 2023, at 1:00 PM at Edgecombe Memorial Park, with Rev. Roger Leggett and Rev. Robbie Parnell officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery, and other times from the home.
