It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. Herman Earl Haislip, age 92, of Popular Point Road, Williamston, who passed away peacefully at his home with his loving family by his side.
Mr. Herman was born November 28, 1933, in Martin County to Ada Mae Beach Haislip and Nunnie Mayo Haislip. He married the love of his life Addie Louise Beach on March 2, 1952, and was Happily married for seventy-four years and served in the US Army for three years. Mr. Herman loved spending time with his wife and family dearly, and also enjoyed gardening, fishing, mowing grass, and gathering at Roberson Chapel Church with his church family. He loved the Lord!
Mr. Herman was preceded in death by his parents: Ada Mae Beach Haislip and Nunnie Mayo Haislip; two sons: Eddie Earl Haislip, Patrick Dale Haislip; and his sister Dorthy Mae Gurganus. He survived by his loving wife Addie Louise Beach Haislip; five grandchildren: Anthony Dale Haislip, Billy Joe Haislip, Edward Brian Haislip, Jason Bradford Haislip, and Christina Nicole Haislip; eleven great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, July 25, 2026 at Roberson Chapel Church with Richard Knox and Pastor Roger Leggett officiating. Military Honors will also be rendered. The family will receive friends following the service at the church, and other times at the home.
