Henry Graham Alston died June 22, 2022 at ECU Health Medical Center in Greenville.

He was born on January 21, 1963 in Windsor, NC. He was the son of the late Louise Lane and Henry Slaughter Alston. He attended Roanoke Academy and graduated from Bertie High School. Henry attended N.C. State Agricultural Institute and received a degree in Field Crop Technology. He graduated with honors.

He returned home to farm the family farm as well as other farms. He loved fishing but even more sharing his catch. Cooking and watching tv reruns of the old shows was an enjoyed hobby as well as spending time with family and friends. Henry was especially proud of being a part of the Windsor Volunteer Fire Department. (Retired)

Surviving are two sons; Zachary Graham Alston (Kelvin Vivar) of New York, N.Y., and Lane Henry Charles Alston of Windsor and his sister, Laurie Alston Jennings (Lee) of Holly Springs, NC, previously from Elizabeth City, NC. He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Patricia Alston Stillman, and David Jennings.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 26, 2022 at 1:00 PM in Windsor United Methodist Church where he was a member. The service to celebrate his life will begin at 2:00 PM with burial at Edgewood Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Windsor Fire Department, 501 N King St, Windsor, NC 27983.
