Helen Hale Lassiter, 51 of Gatling St., died Thursday, September 1, 2022 at her home.

Helen was born on September 1, 1971 in Camden County to Oliver "Wint" Hale, Jr., and Phyllis Spring Hale. She was a claims supervisor with Trillium Health Resources in Ahoskie. She was a member of Cashie Baptist Church. Helen enjoyed boating, gardening, and taking care of her indoor plants; she loved her dog, "Cosmo."

Survivors include her mother, Phyllis Hale of Murfreesboro; husband, Mike Lassiter of the home; daughters, Chelesea Lassiter ("El" J Nubey of Greenville; son, Lofton Lassiter (Makayla) of Colerain; brothers, Joseph Allen Hale (Diane) of Murfreesboro and Otho William Hale (Patty) of Pendleton; aunt, Len Joyner (Dennis) of Rocky Mount; grandchildren; Oshun Nubey, Brixton Nubey who is on the way; numerous nieces and nephews; loyal companion, Cosmo.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, September 4, 2022 at Cashie Baptist Church at 3:00 PM with Rev. Joe Lassiter officiating. Burial will follow in Edgewood Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers: Brandon Ball, Brandon Todd, Chandler Cullipher, Cole Piland, Thomas Chamblee, and Asa Barnes.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the church sanctuary and other times from the home.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Cancer Treatment Centers of America-Atlanta, 600 Celebrate Life Parkway, Newnan, Ga 30265.
