Helen Bazemore Copeland, 88, of Grabtown Road passed away Wednesday at Three Rivers Nursing Home. She was born in Bertie County August 4, 1933, to the late James Lang and Mary Della Pierce Bazemore. Helen was predeceased by her husband, George Madison Copeland, Sr.; son, Randy Copeland; sister, Bessie Umscheid; brothers, Jimmy, William, Roy, Jesse, and Cecil Bazemore. Helen was an active member of Windsor Assembly of God. She was a cafeteria worker at Windsor Elementary School and later the Assistant Manager of Winston Park Nursing Home.

A graveside funeral service will be Friday, January 14 at 2:00 PM at Edgewood Cemetery with Rev. Chuck Gray officiating.

She is survived by her sons, George Copeland, Jr. and wife Evelyn, Charles Copeland and wife Vickie and Keith Copeland all of Windsor; grandchildren, Chuck, Brad and Braxton Copeland, Michelle Perry, Lorie Beth Thomas, and Brandi Williams; great grandchildren, Lindsey, Austin, Kaley, Jase, Regan, Lileigh, and Jarrett.

The family will receive friends following the graveside service. Memorial gifts may be made to Windsor Assembly of God, 1505 S. King Street, Windsor, NC 27983.
