Gloria "Jean" Gibson Bullock Parnell 66, of Goose Road, died Saturday December 28, 2019 at her home.  She was born in Green County May 4, 1953 to the late Harold and Cottie Perry Gibson and was predeceased by her former husband, Carlton Bullock; sister, Lorie Stevenson; brothers, Billy Gibson and Wade Gibson.  She loved gardening and was an avid supporter of children's charities.  She retired from Williamston Yarn Mill in 2015.

Funeral services will be held Friday January 3, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Sweet Home Church of Christ.  Rev. Johnathan Knox and Rev. William Roberson will officiate.  Burial will follow in the Shaw Family Cemetery on Goose Road.

Survivors include her husband, Dennis Parnell of the home; daughters, Cindy Bembridge (Connell) of Williamston, Carol Hollis (Stephen) of Austin TX; son, Burt Dickerson of Bear Grass; sisters, Janice Williams, Cathy Cromwell both of Williamston, Crystal Whitaker of Bear Grass; brothers, Phil Gibson of Bear Grass; Jasper Gibson and Jimmy Gibson both of Jamesville; eleven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Thursday January 2 ^nd from 6-8 PM at Sweet Home Church of Christ and from the home at other times.  Memorial gifts may be made to the American Cancer Society, 930 Wellness Drive #B, Greenville, NC 27834 or to Saint Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis TN, 28105.
