George Alton Miller, Sr., 77 of Goose Rd. Extension, died Friday, April 8, 2022, at his daughter's home.

Mr. Miller was born on January 5, 1945, in Bertie County to the late George West and Levie Earl Cobb Miller. He was an electrician, having worked with Barnhill's Electric, Larry Coltrain and retired from Williamston Yarn Mill. George attended Rehoboth Pentecostal Holiness Church. He served his country in the US Army during Vietnam. He enjoyed working with his hands and fixing things.

Survivors include his sons, George Alton Miller, Jr. of Gibsonville and Brandon Lee Cunningham, Sr. of Robersonville; daughter, Angela Kay Cunningham of Greenville; brother, Darden Ray Miller of Williamston; life companion, Charline Miller of Greenville; grandchildren, Al and Brandy Miller, Jordan, Brandon, Dylan and Braxton Cunningham, Alexander Lopez, Evan Castro, Julianna Hernandez, Aaron, and Anthony Suarez; great grandchildren, Ava Miller, and Adrian Flores.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 13, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Walker Chapel with Pastor Steve Jackson officiating, with military honors.
