George "Pete" M. Holley, Jr., of Stokes Avenue, died Saturday, May 16, 2020 at his home. He was born in Bertie County, February 7, 1947 to the late Pattie Cale and George Melville Holley, Sr. and was predeceased by a sister, Patsy Holley.   Pete was the head Deacon and member of The Potters House Christian Fellowship. He was the former maintenance supervisor at Burroughs Wellcome, keyholder with Advance Auto, a certified locksmith and served 22 years with the Bertie County Rescue Squad. He enjoyed being a ham radio operator and flying remote airplanes and drones. He rode motorcycles, loved shooting at the range and photography.

A graveside funeral service will be held Saturday, May 23, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Edgewood Cemetery. Pastors Robert Barmer and Michael Bailey will officiate.

Survivors include his wife, Carol Todd Holley of the home; sons, Brian Holley and wife Mary-Jayne and Christian Holley all of Windsor; step-son, Michael Bailey and wife, Michelle of AZ; step-daughter, Lynette Bailey of TX; grandchildren, Samantha Joyner, Nicholas Joyner, Jonathan Bailey, Melissa Bailey, Hannah Bailey, Brylee Lawing; great grandson, Chanler Davenport.

The family will receive friends Friday, May 22 nd from 7-8:30 PM at Walker Funeral Home and from the home at other times. Memorial gifts may be made to The Potters House Christian Fellowship, 841 US 13 North, Windsor, NC 27983.
