Mr. Gary Tice Bowen, 63, of Allen Williams Road, Williamston, NC passed away Thursday August 8, 2024, at ECU Medical Center in Greenville, NC after a brief illness. He was born in Martin County on July 24, 1961, to the late Ann Tice Bowen and Irvin Henry Bowen, Sr. He was a graduate of Beargrass High School and later served his country in the U.S. Navy. Gary worked as an electrician for Mike Taylor Electric for some years before he retired in 2023. He was a member of Bethany Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday August 11, 2024, at the Tice Cemetery, Piney Grove Church Rd. Farmlife with Rev. Chris Watkins officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 10, 2024, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM At Bethany Pentecostal Holiness Church and other times at the home of Eddie Bowen 1510 Piney Grove Church Rd. in the Farmlife Community of Williamston.

In addition to his parents, Gary was preceded in death by one sister, Fran Bowen Ryan; one brother, Terry Joe Bowen, Sr. and a brother-in-law Larry Evans.

He is survived by three brothers, Jim Bowen (Cheryl) of New Bern, Eddie Bowen (Fran) of Williamston, Irvin Bowen Jr. (Stacey) of Williamston and one sister, Pam Bowen Evans of Jamesville, numerous nieces, nephews, and family members.
