Garland Macon Barber, 59, of Zeke Rhodes Lane, died in an auto accident July 4, 2020. He was born in Beaufort County October 14, 1960 to the Rita Harrison Barber Harden and the late Macon Barber. He was a loving husband, father and "Pop" Garland was a pipe fitter with Dunlow Mechanical Services and an avid boater and four-wheeler.

Funeral service will be held Wednesday, July 8, 2020 at 11:30 AM at the Walker Funeral Chapel. Pastor Henry Gray will officiate. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until service time at the funeral home.

Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Denise Barber of the home; daughter, Casey Keel and husband Michael; son Shane Barber and wife Heather all of Williamston; sisters, Ann Martin of Jamesville, Amy Dail of Chinquapin; brother, Grant Barber of Williamston; grandchildren, Savannah Barber, Abby Keel, Sierra Barber and Summer Barber.
