Eugene "Red" F. Price, Jr. 93, of Old US 17 North, passed away Sunday, July 17, 2022 at ECU Bertie Hospital.  He was born in Prince George County, VA on August 10, 1928, to the late Rosa Elizabeth Brockwell and Eugene F. Price, Sr. and was predeceased by his wife, Janet Byrd Price; sister, Lucille Cowand; brothers, George Herman Price and Leslie Price.

Red was a member of Cashie Baptist Church and retired as a mail carrier with 20 plus years.  He was an all-around athlete, playing all four sports in high school and golf later in life.  He was a co-founder of the Windsor Little League.  He was a member of the Bertie High School Chain Crew from 1963 until 2004, member of the Cashie Cook Club, Cashie Golf and Country Club, and Bucklesberry Hunt Club, and Lions Club.

A graveside funeral service will be held Saturday, July 23, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Edgewood Cemetery. Rev. Stafford Beasley will officiate.

Survivors include his daughter, Carolyn P. Dail (Mike); son, Bill Price (Penny) all of Windsor; sister, Elizabeth Peele of Pittsboro; sister-in-law, Martha Gillam Price of Tarboro; grandchildren, Will Lawrence (Melissa), Chris Lawrence (Heather), Michael Dail (Stacey), Brian Dail (Jessica), Adam Hughes (Elizabeth), Erik Hughes (Holly), Heather Loveland (Tyler); great grandchildren, Paxton Lawrence, Rachel Lawrence, and Gemma Lawrence, William Lowery (Scarlett), Johnathan Lowery, Ayden Dail, Emerson Dail, Hudson Dail, Finn Hughes, Ellison Hughes, Mac Hughes, and Gage Hughes; great great granddaughter, Penelope Lowery. Many nieces and nephews he loved dearly.

The family will receive friends Friday, July, 22 ^nd at Walker Funeral Home from 7-8:30 PM and from the home of Carolyn and Mike Dail at other times. Memorial gifts in Red's memory may be made to Cashie Youth League Special Projects, 129 Old US Hwy 17 North, Windsor, NC 27983 or to Cashie Baptist Church, 221 S. Queen Street, Windsor, NC 27983.
