Ervin Edward Mobley, 88 of NC Hwy 171, died Monday, February 27, 2023 at his home.

Ervin was born on June 27, 1934 in Martin County to the late Church and Bessie Davis Mobley. He was a self-employed mechanic and a member of Cedar Branch Baptist Church. Ervin loved to play his guitar. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Crawford Mobley; sons, Jeff Mobley and Jimmy Mobley; sisters, Doris Gurganus and Elsie Gregory; brothers, Kerney Mobley, Ernie Claude "Buddy" Mobley and Garland Mobley.

Survivors include his sons, Richard Mobley (Debbie) of Jamesville and David Mobley (Kim) of Williamston; sisters, Margie Harris and Ilene Woolard of New Bern, Faye Martin of Williamston; grandchildren, Victoria, David, Brandi, Dustin and Courtney; great grandchildren, fifteen.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 1, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Cedar Branch Baptist Church with Rev. Paul Weaver officiating. Burial will follow in Jamesville Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service at the church.
