Eric Chandler Phelps, 23, of Russell Lane, died Saturday, October 1, 2022. He was born in Martin County February 22, 1999, to Joey M. Phelps and the late Leslie Russell Phelps.

Eric attended Edgewood Baptist Church and loved to hunt and fish. He was a landscaper with Roberts Landscaping and Nursery in Aulander.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, October 6, 2022, at 2:00 PM at the Walker Funeral Chapel. Rev. Chris Lee will officiate.

He is survived by his father, Joey M. Phelps (Jamie Revels) of Edenton; brother, Brandon Clay Phelps (Anne) of Creswell; maternal grandparents, Gayle S. Russell, and the late Frank Russell of Windsor; paternal grandparents, Albert Larry Phelps, and Sherrie Phelps of Creswell.

The family will receive friends Thursday October 6, 2022, from 1-2 PM prior to the service at Walker Funeral Home and from the home of Gayle Russell at other times.
