Elsie Marguerite Jordan Wilkins, age 87, a resident of Lewis Mizelle Road, Colerain, died Saturday, April 2, 2022 at Vidant Bertie Hospital. She will be laid to rest beside her husband in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens, Suffolk, VA. Interment will be private.

Elsie was born on October 26, 1934 to the late Nellie Marguerite Bizzell Jordan and Edgar Ray Jordan, Jr. She was married to George Edward Wilkins who preceded her in death. Elsie was a homemaker and loved to cook. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a son, George Edward Wilkins, Jr.; stepfather, Warren Grover; sisters, Shirley Gibbs and Phyllis Joyce (Jean) Barnette; one infant sibling; and a sister- in-law Justin M. Wilkins.

Survivors include her adopted son William 'Shorty' Todd of Colerain; nephew, William R. 'Bill' Barnette of Norfolk VA; two granddaughters, Pheobe Rochelle Todd of Colerain and Tabitha Wilkins; one grandson, George Edward Wilkins III and numerous nieces and nephews.
