Edna J. Jernigan ,91, of Elm Grove Road, died Friday, September 3, 2021, at Three Rivers Health and Rehab Center in Windsor.  She was born Bertie County May 9 ,1930 to the late George P. and Melissa White Jernigan and predeceased by her husband, Alvis A. Jernigan; son, Vandy Jernigan; brothers, Starkey and Carlie Jernigan; sister, Pauline Roberson.  Edna, a homemaker, was a member of Askewville Assembly of God Church.  She retired from Purdue.

A graveside funeral service will be held Tuesday September 7, 2021, at 11:00 AM in Edgewood Cemetery, Windsor.  Rev. Randy Pierce will officiate.

Survivors include her daughter, Julie J. Metcalfe of Conway, sisters, Ruby White, Nettie White and Vergie Mizelle all of Askewville, Annie Mae Hill of Windsor; grandchildren, Tracy Jernigan (Carrie), Travis Jernigan (Megan), Will Metcalfe; great grandchildren, Samantha, Leeann, Christopher, and Kevin Jernigan; great grandchild, Julietta.

The family will receive friends following the graveside service in Edgewood Cemetery.
