Dotsie Leary Dunlow died peacefully on January 13, 2021 after a brief illness. She was born on January 26, 1936 to the late Dewey Leary and Fannie White. She grew up in the Republican Community of Bertie County.

After graduation she served for 3 years in the United States Air Force. For almost 50 years Miss Dotsie was manager of the Little Mint and later the Little Golden Skillet of Windsor, a position she held until she passed away.  She was presented a key to the Town of Windsor in appreciation.

She is survived by her husband Donnie Dunlow, Sr.; her daughters, Sandra Hardison and husband Mike of Williamston, NC, Lori Merritt, and husband Donald of Harrellsville, NC; stepsons, Donnie Dunlow, Jr. and wife Kelly of Rocky Mount, NC and Kevin Dunlow and wife Samantha of California. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Scott Hardison, Chris Hardison, Daniel Merritt, Bobby Merritt and Emily Merritt; step grandchildren, Donnie Dunlow, III and wife Terra, Mandy Dunlow and Henry Dunlow; step great grandchildren, Kinsley, Austyn, Ellie, and Addie Dunlow; three sisters, Lillie Pope, Elizabeth Speller and Mary Davis of Windsor. She was predeceased by her sister Carrie White.

A funeral service will be held at Walker Funeral Home Chapel in Windsor, North Carolina, at 2:00 PM on Sunday, January 17, 2021, with Rev. Allen Harmon and Rev. J.N. Baggett presiding. Interment will follow at Edgewood Cemetery in Windsor with military honors.  Family will receive friends Sunday, January 17 ^th from 12-2:00 PM at Walker Funeral Home.
