Ms. Doris Faye Gilbert Wiley passed away Thursday May 14, 2026, at her home.

Ms. Faye was born on March 9, 1944, in Poquoson, VA. to Rosanna V. Martin and Harley T. Gilbert. She was a Nursing assistant at the old Bertie County Hospital for twenty years and enjoyed spending time with her family, dogs and other animals, and loved listening to Elvis.

Mrs. Faye was predeceased by her parents, Rosanna and Harley Gilbert; three brothers: Bubba, Stanley, Harley Jr.; and six sisters: Mamie, Mildred, Earlin, Marie Dorothy and Betty. She is survived by five children: Harry Dail (April) of Windsor, Michael Dail, Thomas Dail, Robert Wiley Dail Jr., and Tracy Veits all of Virginia; nine grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.

Per Mrs. Faye's wishes, no service will be held.
