Donald Ray Joyner, 76 of Price Road, died Saturday, August 31, 2019 at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville.

Donald was born on June 17, 1943 in Bertie County to the late Richard Thomas and Mildred Modlin Joyner. He was retired as a manager in textile manufacturing. Donald was member of Bethany Pentecostal Holiness Church. He was an avid fisherman, NC State fan, loved baseball and bowling. Donald was a former Ruritan Club member and loved his community. He was preceded in death by brothers, William Council, James Richard and Robert Gene Joyner.

Survivors include; wife, Linda Joyner of the home; daughter, Heather Joyner Arling (Jeff) of Greenville; sons, Ricky Joyner (Janet) of Greenville and Kevin Joyner (Renee) of Bear Grass; sister, Carolyn Northcott of Ahoskie; mother in law, Mildred Rogers of Williamston; grandchildren; Fischer Joyner, Kaylee Arling, Parker Joyner and Lucas Arling.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 3, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Bethany Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Chris Watkins officiating. Burial will follow in the Roxobel-Kelford Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Monday evening at the church from 6:00 PM until 7:30 PM and other times at the home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society, 930 A Wellness Drive, Greenville, NC 27834.
