Donald Reid Conner 74, of South King Street, passed away Thursday February 24, 2022, surrounded by his family.  He was born  in Windsor, April 5, 1947, to the late George Lewis and Geneva White Conner. Don was a member and Deacon of Windsor Assembly of God as well as a former Sunday school teacher. He graduated from Bertie High School and NC State University. Don was an avid sports fan, following the Wolfpack, Washington Nationals, and the Hurricanes. He retired from the NC Department of Transportation as Division Engineer.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 26, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Windsor Assembly of God. Rev. Chuck Gray will officiate. Burial will follow in Edgewood Cemetery.  The family will receive friends Saturday, February 26 ^th at the Church from 1:00 PM until service time (2:00PM) and from the home of Rebekah and Justin Jackson, 705 Bertie Ave. Windsor, at other times.

Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Lane Conner of the home; daughter, Rebekah C. Jackson (Justin); sons Kevin Conner (Jo Ann), Jay Conner (Stephanie) all of Windsor; sister, Deborah C. Powell of Scotland Neck; six grandchildren, Kayla Conner, Justin Conner (Kathleen), C. J. Robertson (Katelyn), Adam Conner, Caroline Jackson, Sophia Jackson; three great grandchildren, Kevin Michael Conner, Kalli Gallagher, Millie Robertson.
