Dixie Sharon Gardner 72, of US Hwy 64, died Monday December 31, 2018 at Martin Memorial Hospital. She was born in Bertie County September 30, 1946 to the late Cader Elmer and Lendora Gibson Gardner.  Dixie was a waitress at the Shamrock Restaurant.

A visitation and viewing will be held Wednesday January 2, 2018 at Walker Funeral Home, Williamston from 6-8 PM. Family private services will be held at a later date.

Survivors include her daughters, Tonia B. Byrum and husband, Mike of Williamston and Angie B. Belch and husband, Jimmy of Chesapeake, VA; brothers, Freddie Gardner (Eula) of Williamston, Jerry Gardner of Norfolk, VA; grandchildren, Megan Gall (Chris) and Jaimie Belch; great grandchildren, Taylor and Ryan Gall.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the American Heart Association, 7272 Greenville Avenue, Dallas TX 75231.
