Dateline: Robersonville

Diane Mynhier Lee, age 53 of Bear Grass, NC, passed away peacefully and
surrounded by loved ones on Friday, October 25th at ECU Health Hospital in
Greenville. Her leaving was accompanied by the sunrise of a crisp autumn
morning, the same as those she loved gazing upon so much in life.

Diane was born on March 17th, 1971 in La Grange, Illinois to Michael 'Mike'
and Margaret 'Marge' Mynhier. After the family moved to Charlotte, North
Carolina, she graduated from South Mecklenburg High School in 1989 and then
achieved her Associates in Equine Studies from Martin Community College.
During this time, she married her love Carlies 'Earl' Lee, Jr. on May 2, 1992.

Continuing her affection for animals, Diane worked many years as a
veterinary technician for both Pamlico and Firetower Animal Hospitals. This
compassion also extended to people, as she was a beloved and irreplaceable
member of Bear Grass Charter School at time of passing, her presence sorely
missed by fellow staff and students alike.

Diane lived with a profound love for nature, evidenced by her knack for
gardening, beekeeping, and adoption of goats, chickens, ducks, and all manner of
fur babies. In this, she created a vast village of plants, pets, and cherished loved
ones to always nurture. She was also deeply proud to be recognized as an
Honorary FFA Member in 2024.

She was an amazing daughter, loving wife, adoring mother, and caring
friend. There will never be enough words to express how much she meant to all
the lives she touched, but we are all so very thankful for the time we had with her
and the impacts she made to everyone around.

In passing, Diane looks forward to becoming one with the nature she so
loves, as well as rejoicing again with those animals she once herself grieved for.

Diane is survived by parents Mike and Marge Mynhier of Marietta, GA,
husband Earl Lee of the home, children Austin (Amanda) Lee of Washington, NC,
Morgan Lee of Beaver, PA, and Erin Lee of the home, as well as many aunts,
uncles, cousins, and creatures from her village. For all those whose lives were
moved by her, please join for a floating Celebration of Life at Walker Funeral
Home in Williamston, NC on October 30th from 4-6 p.m. to reflect upon the
amazing life that she lived.
