Deborah Embler Peaks, 60 of Grand Canyon Rd, died Friday, March 27, 2020 at her daughters' home.

Deborah was born on February 5, 1960 in Bertie County to the late Charles Embler, Sr. and Nancy Hoggard Embler. She was a homemaker and a member of Macedonia Christian Church, where she was part of the Flossie White circle. Deborah loved the beach and the mountains, spending time with her family especially her grandbabies. She was preceded in death by sisters Kathy Cobb and Angie Whaley.

Survivors include; daughters, Allie Peaks of Williamston and Lakisha Lee of Loveland, CO; son, AJ Peaks of Williamston; brothers, Rick Embler and Charles Embler, Jr. both of Thomasville, NC; grandchildren, Mady Wiechel, Barron Wiechel, Delia Wiechel, Logan Wiechel, Gabi Lee, Autumn Lee, Chase Moore and Trip Peaks.

A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, March 30, 2020 at 3:00 PM at the Peaks Family Cemetery on Kader Lilley Rd. with Rev. Greg Sexton and Rev. Dolan Baker officiating.

The family will receive friends at the cemetery one hour prior to the service and other times at 2560 Kader Lilley Rd., Williamston, NC. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Community Homecare and Hospice, 107 W. Blvd. Williamston, NC 27892.

Walker Funeral Home of Williamston is serving the Peaks family.
